Web design encompasses many different skills and disciplines in the production and maintenance of websites. Computer and the Internet are the base or roots of any website, without them website cannot perform.
The term web design is normally used to describe the design process relating to the front-end (client side) design of a website including writing mark up. Web design partially overlaps web engineering in the broader scope of web development. Web designers are expected to have an awareness of usability and if their role involves creating mark up then they are also expected to be up to date with web accessibility guidelines.
There are different areas of web design include web graphic design; interface design; authoring, including standardized code and proprietary software; user experience design; and search engine optimization. Often many individuals will work in teams covering different aspects of the design process, although some designers will cover them all.
Earlier when internet was introduced web design was the least interest but since the start of the 21st century the web has become more and more integrated into people lives. As this has happened the technology of the web has also moved on. There have also been significant changes in the way people use and access the web, and this has changed how sites are designed.
There are varieties of different tools depending on what part of the production process they are involved in. These tools are updated over time by newer standards and software but the principles behind them remain the same. Other tools web designers might use include mark up validators and other testing tools for usability and accessibility to ensure their web sites meet web accessibility guidelines.
The page layout and user interface may also be affected by the use of motion graphics, so it is extremely important for designers to think about being clear with their layouts. The choice of whether or not to use motion graphics may depend on the target market for the website.
However, a website target audience with a more serious or formal interest (such as business, community, or government) might find animations unnecessary and distracting if only for entertainment or decoration purposes.
It is important for the web designer to deliver a perfect page that will get viewers attention, whether they're purchasing something from a e-commerce site, reading a blog or just browsing news. The design must be readable, easy to understand, and easy to like. Nowadays, with so much emphasis on user-centered design, describing and justifying the importance of designing and enhancing the user experience seems almost unnecessary.
Web designer have to understood the value of user-centered design, they should try to make design decisions based on just two things: what we thought was awesome and what the client wanted to see. They must have focus on aesthetics and the brand, with little to no thought of how the people who would use the website would feel about it.
The habits of visitors are same as the habit of customers in a store. They glance at each new page, scan some of the text, and click on the first link that catches their interest or vaguely resembles the thing they're looking for. In fact, there are large parts of the page they don't even look at.
Most users search for something interesting (or useful) and clickable; as soon as some promising candidates are found, users click. If the new page doesn't meet users' expectations, the Back button is clicked and the search process is continued. So it is very important to use a reputable and experienced web designer to build your new company website
